Goofy Girls
Another busy weekend but the girls did find time to play in the sprinkler. Emma and Myra stopped by for a while and Emma took this picture. Is there anything that Emma could ask them to do that they wouldn't?
A New Year Begins
Well the Holidays are over and a new year begins. Our Christmas was great and never ending. I think we did gift exchanges four days in a row trying to accomodate friends and families schedules. Papa came in from Arizona with his RV which is always a treat. Usually the girls are constantly wanting to go out to the RV because Papa always has candy. This go around we had so much sweet to eat in the house they did not have to go out to the RV to get their fix. Meme, my sister and her husband, Ed, made it in as well.
This year, the gifts from Meme and Papa were a big hit. They each purchased a Barbie ride-in car for the girls. These things are huge and I am considering adding on to the garage. If they had their way, the girls would cruise the entire neighborhood but we are trying to limit them to our yard and a treed lot across the street. A few days before christmas there were only a few presents under the tree and I thought we were going to have a modest Christmas - but boy I was wrong.
Christmas morning was a lot of fun. We could hear the girls awake in their room but they wouldn't come out of the room. We finally went to get them. When they did come out they said they had heard Santa and didn't want to come out because they were afraid that he might leave. I wonder what they heard and who gave them the idea that Santa would leave if they came out of the room if they heard him???
Here is short video we made about what they heard:
We celebrated the New Year in grand fashion. We stayed up just long enought to see the New Year come in and then went straight to sleep. I wonder if we are getting old?
Anyway, Happy New Year and may this one be better than all the others.
First Lost Tooth
If you have any knowledge of the Evan’s genes the you know how big a deal it is to lose a tooth because and adult tooth is pushing it out. Well that is what has happened in the Nethery household.
Dylan had been saying for sometime that her tooth hurt and wiggled. Neither Denise nor I took it too serious because we had told her that she most likely would not lose any teeth. But, on Monday she showed me her tooth and low and behold it was about to fall out. I panicked and called the Dentist and got her an appointment that day. I was sure her tooth was rotting from all the junk food we let her eat.
As it turns out, her two front adult teeth are coming in and that was the cause of the lose tooth. So, while we were there the Dentist went ahead and removed the tooth. Dylan handled it like a champ! She took the tooth home in a small purple treasure chest and put under her pillow. That night the tooth fairy paid her a visit and left her five dollars.
It was very exciting and a big relief for the parents. Glad to know she does have at least half of her adult teeth that should come in someday.
Here is the proof of the loss and excitement.

Master of Tying Her Shoe Laces
Tonight Dylan sat down, after a few lessons, and taught herself how to tie her shoe laces. She keeps smiling and giving the tightest hugs. She is so proud of her accomplishment it makes me want to cry.
BTW...she went to her first soccer camp this week. She had never played soccer before. She really excelled per one of the camp coaches. She scored two goals one day.
We keep telling her, and her sisters, she can do anything she sets her mind too.
Blue Bonnets Galore
Today we went down the street to a local park and took some really great pictures in a field of blue bonnets. The kids had a great time and so did mom and dad.

You can see the pics here.
Dylan's First School Play
Today was Dylan's first school play function. Denise was out of town on business so she couldn't make it but her second family, Myra, Emma & Ashley, did make it. It is amazing how Dylan has blossomed over the past few months. Kindergarten has been very very good for her. My guess is her teacher Ms. Brumley has been a key in her emotional development. I know she has been in her knowledge development.

Maybe the Cutest Kid Ever!
Here is Dylan's first ever school portriat.
Dylans Last Day at Daycare
Today is Dylan's last day at daycare before heading off to Kindergarten.
Big big day!! I am soon on my way to pick her and her sister up. I am
sure that tears will follow. Dylan is concerned that her favorite
teachers will forget her. There is not way that Ms. Judy or Ms. Sue
would ever let that happen. I am not sure who is more excited about her
going to a new school me or her but I am pretty sure it is me.
Going for a swim!
Our plans for a trip to Kingsland got put on hold today. So instead we went for breakfast at Chick-fil-A, we love the chicken box, and then for a swim in Bull Creek. The girls had a ton of fun. We went to a public park that is also an off leash dog park. You don't see many dogs in the pictures but htey were everywhere. Phoebe and Chloe love the dogs....Dylan, not so much.
The water wasn't deep nor running very fast but over the years it had cut a slide into the limestone that was very slippery. Lots of fun was had!

You can see the rest of the pictures here.
Check Out These New Pics
We just added the new pics of the girls from Halloween and Phoebe and Chloe playing dress up. When Phoebe and Chloe were playing dress up Dad and Dylan were at Wal-Mart trying to get a deal on a laptop computer and then we visited a friend's house that was having a garage sale.
Dylan and I missed out on the dress up fun but we also managed to have a lot of fun.
