Day 5...I'm still alive and so are the kids!
So we have made it for 5 days and only 5 more to go. Having on night off
was a big help.
This weekend will be a patience tester. I need to go to Kingsland, TX,
about an hour from Autin, to take care of some business. Yes, I am
taking the kids. Can you say ROADTRIP!!! I hope to leave the house
fairly early get my business done and then go over to Marble Falls for a
swim in Lake LBJ.
My fingers are crossed!
End of Day 2...Day 3 Begins
Today was a suprisingly simple day. We got up on time and made it to
school and work on time as well. I had meeting up Northwest so
afterwards I picked up the girls early and made out way home. We played
some, ate a good dinner, talked to Mom, watch Dora the Explorer and then
off to bed.
Tomorrow the girls are staying overnight with Myra and Emma. Dad get the
house to himself. Hoping to find someone to meet for drinks. I really
want some sangria from Hula Hut.
Hopefully tomorrow AM is as easy as todays.
Almost forgot....we also saved a puppy. More on that later.
Day two.....missing Guy and the Girls
Well, it's almost 10:00 pm and it is full blown daylight here in
Anchorage. Weird! I should be exhausted, but how do you sleep when it is
daylight outside? It is so beautiful here, everything is green, it was
mid 70's today and there is still snow on the mountains!
I am missing the girls and Guy. I'm sure they are all having fun and
having a good time, but the older they get and the more times they ask,
"when are you coming home?" The more it hurts! Daddy, you ROCK! Thanks
for holding down the fort!

End of Day 1...Day 2 begins
Only one day.....holy cow! I can only hope tonight is a solid nights
sleep. In 24 hr we have had 3 potty accidents already with one being in
the middle of the night and all from one kid. I am not going to name
names but it wasn't Dylan or Phoebe. I think the culprit is missing Mom
a lot.
I spent a couple of hours last night worrying about what I
would do if we have a home invasion. WTF....I have never worried about
that before becuase the answer is simple...kill 'em. I am sure it will
be better tonight. I put my favorite sheets on the bed so I bet I sleep
like a baby.
Another oddity is the garage. There has to be something dead in there
because it stinks to high heaven. I put in a half ass search and dispose
mission but just wasn't mentally into it. I wonder if I can manage to
not go into the garage for the next nine days?
Day 1
So it is just me and the kids for the next 10 days. We are hoping to
post pics and videos each day to keep mom in the loop so she doesn't
feel home sick. Luckily I do have help on night and the kids will stay
overnight with Myra and Emma, thank you!!!!, on Wednesday. Other that
that I am on my own.
I am hoping that these posting will help maintain my sanity but we will
see.
